Little Last Supper Original Painting is my tribute to Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece “The Last Supper”. Unfortunately, I had to incorporate some blocks of solid black to help me match the aspect ratio of the original classic. But it still looks good on canvas. Little Last Supper features Little People toys impersonating Jesus and his 12 Apostles shortly after the Lord predicted his betrayal by Little Judas. An odd twist to a very serious Biblical moment.
I painted this piece using Atelier’s Interactive Acrylics, which behaves a lot like gouache. This painting has been varnished using Golden Satin Polymer Varnish, which contains UVLS that will defend it from UV damage. That doesn’t mean you should have it sit in the sunlight. Sunlight will cause any painting to fade. The varnish provides a soft sheen that’s not overbearing to the eye.
